Our first Meet-and-greet which welcomed new, existing and prospective members to the club and allowed us to introduce our plans for the semester. This event provided an opportunity for members to meet the committee, meet fellow members and sign up for the club.

WOMEN'S WEDNESDAY WORKSHOP

Our first Women's Wednesday Workshop invited an industry professional to showcase tips and tricks on how to build a solid Linked-in profile. The event objective was to allow our members to build an adequate linked-in profile that will allow them to further themselves in their respective careers.

This event gave members the opportunity to prepare themselves for all types of interviews and build up group setting and team building skills. The event will be ‘mock’ speed interviews for 5-7 minutes each with students being
interviewed by professionals ranging from casual (Curtin) to highly professional (EY).

Investing for Beginners was the second instalment in our exciting workshop series and it aimed at helping members start their investing journey! Our second Women's Wednesday Workshop invited an industry professional who dived into key information about the stock market, real estate, gave advice and answered questions from our members.

This was a perfect event to attend for members who wanted to improve and build on their networking skills in a supportive environment, foster meaningful industry connections and gain an insight into what a future in their respective career path could look like.

WOMEN'S WEDNESDAY WORKSHOP

“Mindful Memento” was WIB’s third workshop revolving around the idea of mental health and self development. This workshop was all about how members can reflect on their goals and life ambitions as well as get over hardships through the technique and act of journaling.
